After sitting vacant in Rogers Park for 17 years, we are excited to announce that the former firehouse at 1721 W Greenleaf will become a new cafe/event space for the community! Developer Ryan Cummings and Michael Salvatore of Chicago's Heritage Hospitality Group will remodel this building from the inside out, preserving the character of the 111-year-old firehouse while updating it for the present day. The ground floor will house a 2,000-square-foot coffeehouse, while the second floor will feature 4,000 square feet dedicated to event and office space.

Thank you to Commissioner Ciere Boatright and the rest of the Department of Planning and Development for all their hard work in ensuring this former community landmark sees new revitalization for years to come! We are thrilled to see this project come to life and provide the community with a great new option for gathering and connecting.
